North-West Shelf”s Angel project wins engineering excellence award

The $1.6 billion Angel gas processing platform located 120 kilometres off Karratha has won the overall award at the 2009 WA Engineering Excellence Awards announced in Perth on September 12.

The project has set a world standard for not-normally-manned (NNM) gas processing facilities, and is believed to be the most complex, highest production facility of its type in the world, with state-of-the-art environmental monitoring.

The 11 category winners, also announced on the night, are listed below.
